Congratulations to Derek Amell on reaching this milestone in Montreal

The NHLOA would like to recognize the tremendous accomplishment of one of our fellow officials.
On Thursday October 17, Derek Amell worked his 1000th NHL game as a Lineseman as The Columbus Blue Jackets visited Montreal Canadiens. He was joined on the ice by Francois St-Laurent, Ghislain Hebert and Matt MacPherson.
Derek began his career on October 11th, 1997 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania as the Penguins hosted The Carolina Hurricanes. He was selected to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2009 & 2012
Though now residing in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Derek is the pride of Oshawa Ontario and was joined by friends and family on thursday night.
We wish to congratulate Derek, his wife Karen, his son Luke and his daughter Sydney on all the hard work and sacrifice made over his career in order to reach this great milestone.
