CJ MURRAY

Murray, a native of Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania, is a former collegiate hockey player. He played four seasons for Nazareth College of Rochester. The former forward also captained the Upper St. Clair Panthers to a Pennsylvania State Championship in 2011.

After graduating from college, he wanted to stay in the game and decided to pursue officiating. He worked a few years as a Referee/Linesman in nearby collegiate leagues, and was later invited to the 2019 NHL Exposure Combine. Following the camp, he was asked to be a linesman in the AHL and he joined USA Hockey’s Officials Development Program where he skated in the NAHL and USHL.

After completing the 2019 season, Murray was invited to be a linesman in the ECHL. Development in these elite leagues allowed Murray to receive an NHL minor league contract in the summer of 2021.

In 2022, he was promoted to full-time NHL status.
