Terry Koharski’s Final Farewell after 30 year pro career

SPRINGFIELD MASS

After an incredible career that began over 30 years ago, Terry Koharski will hit the ice for one final game on Saturday January 28 when the Springfield Thunderbirds hosts the Belleville Senators.

Terry holds the record for most games work in the American Hockey League and has worked with almost every current and former NHLOA member at one point in his wonderful career.

Terry’s professional career debuted in the 80’s which saw him work games across many leagues such as QMJHL, OHL, WCHC, ECHL, IHL and AHL. He has worked close to 3000 professional games. Other recognitions include :
– 2 AHL All Star appearances
– 11 consecutive AHL Finals
– Michael Condon Memorial Award 2007-08

His 11 consecutive Finals demonstrates his level of excellence and consistency as a Referee. The level of respect which he has been regarded by his peers, players and coaches over 3 decades reflects his success.

The Koharski family is a pioneer in the officiating community. Jamie, his nephew has 12 seasons and over 860 games in the AHL. Don, his brother has worked 32 years and 1719 regular season games and over 246 playoff games in the NHL. They will be both in attendance with their respective families for a guarantee emotional night in Springfield.
