Biography
Ben grew up surrounded by the Rocky Mountains in the small town of Cranbrook British Columbia. Where pond hockey, road hockey and mini sticks were at the centre of his childhood.
His Jr Career started in West Kelowna in the BCHL. After one season, he moved up the chain to the Everett Silvertips of the WHL where he spent the next 3 years. His pro career spanned 9 years, playing in the ECHL AHL, Austria and Slovakia. He was apart of one championship team in the Slovakian Tipos Extra Liga in 2021.
With his thoughts on the future, having the right guidance and encouragement, and lots left to give to the game. He attended the NHL officials Combine, where he was able to get an opportunity working at the AHL ECHL and BCHL levels. Fortunately enough, Stephen Walkom and Al Kimmel offered him a Minor League NHL contract on July 1st 2025. Now pursing the same dream in a different fashion, he proudly represents a group of minor league officials under contract with the NHL. With the same aspirations he had as a player, to work in the best league in the world.
