Chris Martenet

Christopher Martenet began his hockey career in the United States before continuing his development in the Ontario Hockey League. He played junior hockey with the Indiana Ice, helping the club capture the Clark Cup championship in 2014, before joining the London Knights and Ottawa 67’s of the OHL.

During the 2015-16 season, Martenet was part of the London Knights organization that captured the OHL Cup, Robertson Cup and Memorial Cup, adding three major championships to his junior hockey career.

Martenet was selected by the Dallas Stars in the fourth round, 103rd overall, of the 2015 NHL Draft. He went on to play professionally in the American Hockey League and ECHL, as well as overseas in the Czech Republic’s Extraliga and England’s Elite Ice Hockey League.

After concluding his playing career in 2025, Martenet transitioned into officiating. He began his officiating career as a linesman, working games in the OHL and AHL. Drawing on more than a decade of experience as a professional player, Martenet brings a strong understanding of the game, professional-level experience and a player’s perspective to his work on the ice.
