Biography

Greg Devorski began his officiating career at the age of 15 in the Guelph Hockey Referees Association. He was hired by the Ontario Hockey Association at the age of 16 and from there continued to work his way up the ladder into the OHL, CHL, AHL.

He was hired by the NHL in the summer of 1993. His career spanned over a 29 year period which included:

4 Stanley Cup Finals (2006, 2010, 2018, 2019),
2004 World Cup,
2014 Winter Olympics (Sochi, Russia).

As well, he officiated the first ever outdoor game, the 2003 Heritage Classic in Edmonton. Highlights of his career include working Game 7 Stanley Cup Final in 2006, 2014 Olympic Gold medal game, 2004 World Cup gold medal game and working his first game with his brother Paul Devorski in Detroit, October 1993.

His biggest passion was not just the game itself but the friendships and comradery of all his colleagues.

His final NHL regular season game total was 1759 and playoff total was 227.
