Biography
Swede Knox was a National Hockey League Linesman who officiated over 2,000 NHL regular season games and over 200 playoff games during his career, which began in 1972. A native of Edmonton, Alberta, he wore a helmet from the mid-1980s until his retirement in 2000.
Knox worked five Stanley Cup Finals and one NHL All-Star Game. He graduated from Athabasca University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Administration degree.
Swede Knox passed away from cancer in March 2021.
